I am tyring to order a notebook in the US that someone is going to bring to Israel. I also would like to order a wireless router to go with it, so that I can share my home internet connection between the desktop and the notebook wireless. I need an advice of what to look for - as the standards in the US and Israel might be different (DSL vs. ADSL - for example) and I want to get it right the first time around for the obvious reasons. So if you or someone you know have experience in the matter - please help.

>First of all, why don't you buy this all right in Israel?

Price and technology lag of, I'd say, about half a year. Although the router alone does not make a lot of difference.

>In any case, the hardware that interfaces with public networks(ADSL/WiFi router in your case) should be bought locally...

This seems to be the consensus.

Thanks.
