Еще только начиная вести свой LJ я зарекся не писать на межрелигиозные темы. Во избежание. Но (см. заглавие) меня начинает колбасить не по-детски, когда я слышу фразы типа "церковь неправильно поняла/проинтерпретировала/преподала Христа". Христа вне церкви не существует. Уберите церковные догматы, и его личность становится никому не нужна. Еще один шлимазл, в лучшем случае. Если он вообще исторически существовал.

А посему свое отношение к этой личности я буду определять исключительно в контексте церкви, ее создавшей.

Да. Но в обычной христианской традиции "the Kingdom of the Father" обычно подразумевает "царствие небесное". Это-то и интересно.

Well, how do you then interpret this statement, - "Behold the Kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17, v.21) ?

If you are interested in a long and detailed explanation of a position on Jesus very similar to mine, you can see it here. The concept of Holy Ghost as the Divine Mother, which in Christianity is specific to the Gnostics (though in the text it says that Syriac Christians believed it -- very interesting!) to me has unmistakable parallels to the Jewish concept of Shekhina (and Kabbalistic Great Mother of the World, connected to the Sephira of Binah).
In general, though you might label it as speculation :) the three upper Sephirot in my mind look virtually identical to the Christian Trinity -- once you account for the feminine aspect of the Holy Ghost...

Well, I do not have to interpret it. Simply because I do not belive in the uncontradictory nature of that text. However, people who do believe in it might say something like this (GOOGLE rules, of course).
